Quick! Does something faze you or phase you? Are you going through a phase or a faze?

Faze is a verb → Spiders don’t faze me (I’m not disturbed by spiders.)

Phase has more than one meaning:

As a noun, it means a period of time → I’m going through a Spiderman phase (I’ve been obsessed with Spiderman lately.)

As a verb, it means to stop something in stages I’m phasing out of comics (I’m in the process of no longer reading comics.)

Let’s practice!
