How often will I be billed?

Private classes are billed per class. Each class costs $14.99.

Should I choose private tutoring or group classes?

It completely depends on your learning goals! There are benefits for both types of classes. Private tutoring is designed specifically for your learning goals and interests. Group classes are better if you prefer a more relaxed setting where you can practice English with both a tutor and other students.

I signed up for private tutoring. How should I prepare for class?

  1. Download Zoom. 
  2. Make sure your Internet connection is strong. Zoom requires a minimum speed of 1.5 mpbs. If you want to double check, you can run a free speed test

Group Classes

How often will I be billed?
We are not a subscription service. There is a minimum purchase of 4 credits, but after that it is up to you how many credits you want to purchase at a time. We offer discounts for purchases of larger credit packages.

How many credits do I need to buy for each class?

We offer two different types of classes to meet different students’ goals.

Group classes have a maximum of 10 students per class. Students learn from both listening and speaking to each other. 

Small-group classes have a maximum of 5 students per class. In these smaller classes, each student has several opportunities to speak. 

How many credits should I purchase?

The minimum number of credits you can purchase are 4. After that, it’s up to you! We offer discounts when you buy larger packages, though. 

How can I check my credits balance?

When you log into your account, a box on the upper-left hand side of your dashboard will tell you how many credits you have remaining.

Do credits expire? 

No, credits never expire. However once they are purchased, they cannot be returned. 

I’m all set for my first group class. How should I prepare?

What is the difference between a registered user and a member?
If you register for free, you will be able to comment on daily snaps and resources. Members are signed up for group or private tutoring.

Cancellation Policy

I can’t go to a conversation class I booked. What do I do?

If you can’t make a class which you have already booked, please cancel the class. This can be done by going to “Manage my Bookings” and clicking “cancel”. If this is done over 24 hours before the class time, the credits will be refunded. 

I can’t make it to a private tutoring session. What should I do?

If you can’t make a class which you have already booked, please inform your tutor. If this is done over 24 hours before the class time, the class can be rescheduled with no extra fee.

What if I cancel within 24 hours of the conversation class time?

If you don’t cancel within 24 hours or do not show up to class, you will lose the credits which you spent on the class. 

What if I cancel within 24 hours of my private tutoring session?

You cannot reschedule your class if you do not cancel 24 hours before the class time, or do not show up to your scheduled class.

Technical Issues

I tried to come to class, but I couldn’t hear or see the teacher or other students because my Internet connection was bad. What do I do?

If you are able to access the Zoom room, but your Internet connection is not strong enough for the visual or audio, please write “IT issues” into the chat box in the Zoom room. This alerts the teacher that you are trying to enter the room. After please try to restart your Internet, or move closer to the router. If you are still unable to enter the classroom, please submit a ticket to our Support page and we will work with you to prevent this problem in future classes.

We will not reimburse credits for IT issues. We will not reschedule classes for IT issues.

During the conversation class, the connection kept cutting out. I think my teacher was having IT issues.

In the rare circumstance that the teacher has IT issues, all credits will be reimbursed.

During our private tutoring session, the connection kept cutting out. I think my tutor was having IT issues.

If your tutor has IT issues, the class can be rescheduled for no extra charge.
