ADJECTIVE To describe or clarify something with adjectives and imagery. Consider this post’s header image. You could say:
- A canal with boats and houses.
A more descriptive sentence will communicate much more than that:
- A beautiful purple sky reflected on the waters of a romantic Venetian canal.
The second sentence gives you much more information about the photograph. When thinking about whether or not you should be more descriptive, ask yourself, what does the listener or reader need to know? What else should I tell them?
