I got fired from my first job today and I could not have seen it coming. I didn’t even like my job, but I thought I was really good at it. Now, I can’t help but feel rejected. All I wanted was to gain some experience in the field that I’m pursuing so that one day I could get the job that I’m really after. My boyfriend is moving across the country and invited me to go with him. I like where I live now and there are more job opportunities here, but I feel like running away with him even though I know I probably shouldn’t. What should I do?

Dear Confused,
You feel rejected because you were rejected and that’s a hard pill to swallow. The good news is that you’re young, and while the responsible thing would be to get a job, follow your beau! You might even find a job in your new city, and if you don’t, you can always move back! We hope it works out and are glad you’re trying something new.
